It wouldn't be fair to call it 100% chemical free as less than 1% of this shampoo has preservative to safeguard shampoo shelf-life and effectiveness. Ayurvedic hairwash base is made from reetha and shikakai extracts. It's a lengthy process though but worth it. This shampoo is free from SLES.
